water/icebergs

going for water with icebergs surrounding the boat and assets. I want to add larger ice chunks protruding up. Slowly getting there...

11/13

created a simple coin that I can duplicate like mad to create the loot. Have been playing with the ice/water and I am positive about my direction.

11/13

have compiled all the ice shaders I've gone through and taking a step back to compare them and go from there....

11/12

still working on the ice, with the light and object/surface interaction. May do a plug of water with floating ice blocks on the ship and assets, or, water plug with ice disk on top tapering around objects...

I added barrels and need to multiple the cannon and ammo. Would love to add some loot to a busted up barrel or chest....

10/19

Got the ice shader working. Started on sketches and also figured out a specific boat to model going for the HMS Warrior, an 1860 armor plated war ship for the Royal navy. The thing is gianormous and has an excellent figurehead(statue at front) that I would like to partially model. BlogBooster-The most productive way for mobile blogging. Been researching the glass-ice shader and I think I have it figured out.

Gonna work on that and more sketches for class tomorrow.

10/13 wed

Working on ice shaders and sketches for model composition. The shader has me alittle frustrated because I made glass in a previous version of Maya and it's not working. Oh well, keep trying.
